Project Proposal requesting for fund to conduct the study tour to Hanoi School of Circus, Vietnam

Purpose:
This study visit aims at collaboration and interaction between the Cambodian School of Circus and Hanoi School of Circus in order to improve build capacity in circus of the participating artists. The participants will together learn and exchange ideas as well as techniques in interactive workshops and consequent showcase. Moreover, this will be a good opportunity for our team to have discussions with the management of the school in Hanoi so that we can broaden our prospective on leadership and strategies in teaching. Moreover, we hope this will lead to the provision of scholarship to the Cambodian circus students to study at the Hanoi School of Circus, which has sufficient training facilities and well-experience trainers.

Project Summary:
First, I wish to lead the student group to school of circus in Hanoi to learn the techniques and skills from their students and teachers. Also, my study visit group will learn the management and leadership skill of their school administration in both learning and teaching. All in all, we aim to strengthen relations between the two institutions.

Project Implementation:
Learn their skills, observe and practice their learning and teaching as well as their administration. One important thing is to exchange our experience.

Timeframe of the project: 1 – 15 October 2007

Expected Result:
We expect to get the new skills and techniques in learning, teaching, and performing circus so that to improve our quality of the two schools.

Audience:
Since we will perform the circus story “SOVAN MACHHA” which is the traditional story, there would be lots of discussion and comments from the audiences (teachers and students in Hanoi) to understand more the techniques and history of Cambodian Circus.

Promotion:
Teachers and students of Hanoi School of Circus would spread and promote this study visit program.

Project Advantage:
This study tour will strengthen the understanding, learning, and teaching of the school of circus in Cambodia after they get the ideas and knowledge on the performance, leading and school administration.
